Rob Lowe’s first acting job came at the age of 15 in the ABC sitcom A New Kind Of Family, which ran for one season in 1979. His successful film career began with The Outsider in 1983. The 80’s was a busy decade for Lowe, he worked constantly. In 1988, he suffered a major setback when a sexually explicit videotape surfaced. His career recovery was slow but steady. After a couple of failed attempts at other shows (The Lyon’s Den and Dr. Vegas) he arrived back successfully in series television once again in the popular ABC family drama Brothers and Sisters where he is included in a star-laden cast including Sally Field and Calista Flockhart. The show is currently in its third season. Rob Lowe is one of televisions drama’s top actors and is once again comfortably ensconced as a fan favorite.
