She was a standup comic in the 1980s, a supporting actress in big movies, Sleepless in Seattle & A League of Their Own – then a massively successful TV talk show host & dubbed the “Queen of Nice”. Her career took a downturn when her show ended in 2002 and she came out as a lesbian. After a few years of child-rearing, failed theatre projects, constant criticism and outspokenness, Rosie came back in a big way on The View in 2006 for one season only. That ended badly with an on-air argument with a co-host. Two years later she is launching a national radio show from her own home with Sirius Satellite Radio.
